The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 kit is the first in our upcoming series of Samsung Galaxy Series products. Unlike most of our kits, the Tab 4 kit is applied to the screen, rather than to the device’s frame. Like all of our kits, however, it is designed to provide the strongest repair possible, while keeping the shapes simple and easy-to-use.
Ever wish you had a nice clean strip of our adhesive so you could cut out your own shapes for a special repair? Wish no more, trimmings are here! Leftover segments from the outer edges of our adhesive sheets are being re-purposed for your use. We’ve got a lot, and they are now available in our bulk ordering system.
Today, we are launching our iPad Air 2 kits!
Similar to the rest of our kits, these kits are designed to maximize the strength of the repair, while keeping the repair process itself as fast and simple as possible. They are based on our original iPad Air 1 kits, but include slight modifications to accommodate the light sensors and the subtle differences in the device’s frame.
Keep an eye out for more products coming out in the next month!
As a small team working to support an ever-increasing number of repair companies, we allowed new product development to sit on the back burner for a while, but we’ve got several things in-the-works now that I’m very excited about:
- A fundamental change to the way we cut our kits, which will make them even faster and easier to use
- Narrow pre-cut strips of the adhesive material we use, to help allow stronger repairs on devices for which we haven’t designed kits yet
- Adhesive kits for several smartphones, including Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/S5 and LG G2/G3
- New ways of involving repair houses in our development process, so we can get you exactly the things you need more quickly
As always, keep us posted on what you need, and watch this space for news.
We’re in the process of upgrading the paper on both the front and back of all our adhesive kits. The adhesive sandwiched between them is still the same 3M product, but the heavier paper on top makes the individual pieces easier to handle, and the new back liner makes them easier to peel off. This new paper is slightly more expensive for us (our prices to you remain the same), but we’re committed to making our products the best they can be!
After a few months of testing and feedback, we’ve officially introduced the new “bulk” versions of all our adhesive kits. These new kits are available at a much lower cost, especially in larger quantities. We’ve also updated our shipping options to include two of USPS’s more-expensive-but-faster services. The “mix-and-match” bulk ordering system now has a minimum order size of 50 units, but offers much deeper discounts on larger orders, and you can now order discounted bulk quantities of 10, 20, 50, or 100 kits directly from each page here on this site. As always, there are plenty of other developments in the pipeline! :)
We’ve added our 3″ x 8.5″ (7.62cm x 21.59cm) adhesive “blanks” to our main web site (you may have previously seen them listed on the bulk ordering page). These sheets are intended for those situations where you need high-grade adhesive and don’t mind cutting it by hand. Each sheet has roughly the same amount of adhesive surface area as a dozen of our iPod kits.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve been moving all of our operations and equipment to a new, larger location. Although manufacturing and shipping have been largely unaffected, R&D has been significantly slowed down during this time. Nevertheless, we recently sent out our first batch of iPad Air kit prototypes for field testing, and we expect to be adding them to the web site within the next few weeks.
